Join us for a SUPER special afternoon of self-care: decorate cookies with Bon Vivant Cakes (@bonvivantcakes), do a hydrating Steam Sesh with Scratch Goods, and sample the cutest spread of hot teas, cocktails, mocktails, and sweet treats. One day only! 2-4pm on Sunday May 12.
Cookies by Bon Vivant Cakes: Taught by cookie extraordinaire Michelle, this class is everything you’ll need to get started (or continue!) your journey with royal icing cookie decorating. You’ll learn proper piping bag posture and various piping techniques to achieve different designs, including; borders and flooding, wet-on-wet technique, and how to create texture and dimension. We will break down the decorating process step-by-step, and you’ll leave with three beautifully finished cookies!
Tea service intermission: Sample hot teas from the Scratch Goods drink menu, sweet treats by BVC, and a cocktail/mocktail (or two)!
Steam Sesh by Scratch Goods: Led by co-owner Maureen, you'll follow instruction for a hydrating facial routine featuring handmade skincare by Scratch Goods. Start with an oil cleanse, hydrate under a towel with our botanical facial steams, and seal in moisture with hydrating toner, eye butter, face oils, and face butter. Class finishes with lash + brow oil, all-over butter, and a gua sha tutorial for lymphatic drainage - you'll leave hydrated, glossy and glowing! A perfect gentle routine for sensitive skin.
Tickets are sold by the seat - if you're coming with a group, please buy all of your seats in one purchase. If you and your friends buy individually, we may not be able to seat you together - but send us a message and we'll do our best!
Scratch Goods is located at 847 W. Randolph St, and is a second-floor space. Our recessed entrance is found between Uncommon James and Bandit. Elevators are available at our shared side entrance on Peoria, just south of Randolph (entrance shared with Thrive Salon, Grace Loves Lace, and Vintage Refined).
Parking: Not easy in the West Loop! Please give yourself extra time if you choose this route. Randolph St. has metered parking, but spots are hard to come by. Valet with nearby restaurants is an option - or the closest parking garage at Washington + Peoria. We're 3 blocks from the Morgan Green Line, 1.5 blocks from the Hasted bus.
